What's a "faux finish"..?
"Faux" (pronounced "fo"), is a French word meaning "fake or false". At Amazing Walls, a true "faux finish" is a painted finish that looks like it has texture or dimension but it really doesn't. It's pretty much flat to the touch. BIG ADVANTAGES: Beauty plus durability, hides fingerprints & smudges, easy cleanup & touchup. If you ever want to change looks, simply paint over it. CAUTION: Exotic textured, plastered, suede & sandy finishes are sometimes tempting and also very profitable to certain paint suppliers and painters but we get frequent calls from clients to rescue them from their botched jobs. Our friendly advice is to call us first before you commit to any textured wall surface, we'll give you some free tips and alternative suggestions that we think you will love.
What's "trompe l'oeil"..?
"Trompe l'oeil" (pronounced "tromp-loy"), is also a French phrase meaning "tricks the eye" or at Amazing Walls it references our handpainted illusionary art. It's creating a wine cellar in your powder room, a shelf in your kitchen, clouds on ceilings, trees in staircases, vines in kitchens, flowers in sunrooms, scenic windows on blank walls, landscapes, murals, butterflies, birds, frogs, ...and all the other fun stuff that makes your home unique and inviting.

How much time will it take to do my painting and decorating..?
"Time" is of the essence to you and Amazing Walls. We're efficient because we're good at what we do, have the special tools and manpower to get your job done quickly, and work to a very short lead time. Most single rooms are completed in 1 or 2 days and most larger jobs can be scheduled and completed within 3 to 5 days. We generally work between 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. You'll like our professional staff..., but you won't have to adopt us..!
Will there be any "obligation or pressure" to get a FREE ESTIMATE..?
There is NO OBLIGATION or PRESSURE (ever) to get a FREE ESTIMATE whether on the phone, through Email or in your home. And, if you need, our Decorator-Estimator can quickly help you with various room colors, finishes, open floor plans, artistic possibilities, etc. We have great ideas for all types of floor plans and decor. It's a good idea to have all your decision makers there for that appointment as we may charge for call-backs.
